The programmer, like the poet, works only slightly removed from pure thought-stuff. He builds castles in the air, from air, creating by exertion of the imagination... The magic of myth and legend has come true in our time. One types the correct incantation on a keyboard, and a display screen comes to life, showing things that never were nor could be.

Jeremy Smith

I attended the University of North Texas, studied abroad at Kansai Foreign Language University, and graduated in December 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a minor in Japanese Language.

My primary focus is on Web Development, especially using the LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP) and WAMP (sub Windows for Linux) stack, and I have a strange passion for debugging.

It was my misfortune to graduate just after the economic collapse in 2008, and it was tough competing against thousands of more-experienced developers, but I just kept on coding.

In January 2011 I was offered the position of Web Developer by the University of North Texas. Now a University Senior Web Programmer, I'm still coding away.
